Carrie oversees and manages the organization’s fundraising efforts and cultivates relationships with potential and current financial partners. She is also a potential DOJ Accredited Representative and immigration legal services site director for a local Immigrant Connection site.
"There are so many obstacles that immigrants face as they adjust to life in America. Immigration Legal Services is one practical way to bridge those obstacles. It is a privilege to step into the stories of immigrants and help them navigate the labyrinth of the immigration system and then celebrate with them as those obstacles fall. We all benefit from the diversity of our immigrant neighbors!"
Carrie was previously Director of Clinical Education in the College of Education at Appalachian State University. She also has served as Director of Children's Ministry at a local church and taught at various levels in Virginia Beach, Colombia, China, and Cameroon.
