Welcome Programs Coordinator
Carrie oversees The Welcome Program and manages and cultivates relationships with partners and movement members. She is also a DOJ Accredited Representative and site director for a local Immigrant Connection site.

"There are so many obstacles that immigrants face as they adjust to life in America. Immigration Legal Services is one practical way to bridge those obstacles. It is a privilege to step into the stories of immigrants and help them navigate the labyrinth of the immigration system and then celebrate with them as those obstacles fall. We all benefit from the diversity of our immigrant neighbors!"

Carrie was previously Director of Clinical Education in the College of Education at Appalachian State University. She also has served as Director of Children's Ministry at a local church and taught at various levels in Virginia Beach, Colombia, China, and Cameroon.

Carrie has a degree in education (English/ESL) and Master's of Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Francisco, and three children.
