
Carrie Afandor
Director of Partnerships & Engagement
Carrie oversees partnerships & Engagement for the Immigrant Connection National. She works with church partners as they navigate the onboarding process for both legal programs and welcome programs with Immigrant Connection. She continues to manage and cultivate partner relationships as churches launch conversational English programs, Family Resource Night activities, citizenship classes, and/or immigration legal service sites, i.e., Local Immigrant Connection Sites. She is also a Department of Justice Accredited Representative and site director for a Local Immigrant Connection Site.
Carrie was previously Director of Clinical Education in the College of Education at Appalachian State University. She also has served as Director of Children's Ministry at a local church and taught at various levels in Virginia Beach, Colombia, China, and Cameroon.
Carrie earned a Bachelors in English Education from Cedarville University and Master's of Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Francisco, and their three children.
