
Carrie Afandor
Director of Partnerships
Carrie oversees partnerships for the Immigrant Connection National. She leads the strategy and execution of Immigrant Connection’s external partnerships, national engagement efforts, and welcome programming. This role cultivates strong relationships with denominational leaders, church partners, nonprofit organizations, and national collaborators to expand access to trusted immigration legal services and welcome programs.
Carrie was previously Director of Clinical Education in the College of Education at Appalachian State University. She also has served as Director of Children's Ministry at a local church and taught at various levels in Virginia Beach, Colombia, China, and Cameroon.
Carrie earned a Bachelors in English Education from Cedarville University and Master's of Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, Francisco, and their three children.
