UNDERSTANDING KEY TERMS IN
CURRENT IMMIGRATION TRENDS
Tuesday, October 14, 1pm (EST)

Immigration policy and public conversations are constantly evolving, filled with terms and phrases that can be confusing or misunderstood. This webinar will help participants decode the most important and timely immigration vocabulary tied to today’s trends and challenges.

From DACA and TPS to asylum, deferred action, and border enforcement, we’ll break down what these terms mean, who they affect, and why they matter. By gaining clarity on this language, participants will be better equipped to understand immigration news, advocate effectively, and support immigrant communities with compassion and confidence.
GOD’S HEART FOR IMMIGRANTS:
EMBRACING OUR IMMIGRANT NEIGHBORS IN FAITH
Thursday, October 30, 1pm (EST)

God’s concern for immigrants is clear throughout Scripture. The Hebrew word ger (immigrant/foreigner) appears 92 times in the Old Testament, and the Greek word xenos (immigrant/stranger) is mentioned 14 times in the New Testament. These repeated references reminds us that welcoming the stranger is a central call of our faith.

This webinar invites churches and faith communities to explore God’s heart for immigrants through Scripture, prayer, and practical action. We will introduce the Together at the Table devotional guide—a resource designed to help congregations engage deeply in learning, reflection, and formation as they take meaningful steps toward building relationships with immigrant neighbors.
