Through Immigrant Connection's Welcome Programs,
partners are able to journey with and support immigrants in practical ways.

Local churches and other community partners are able to play a vital role in welcoming and serving immigrants and their families by offering programs like Citizenship Classes, English Conversation Classes, and Family Resource Nights.

WELCOME Programs

Citizenship Classes support immigrants - namely permanent residents / green card holders - to prepare for the citizenship test and interview.
A full curriculum, teaching resources, and program guide are included in the Immigrant Connection Citizenship Class program kit so that a church can successfully offer this important resource to immigrants who are eligible to apply for citizenship.
Conversational English programs support immigrants as they improve their English speaking skills and build confidence.
A full curriculum, teaching resources, and program guide are included in the Immigrant Connection Conversational English program kit so that churches can support the unique language needs of immigrant neighbors while forming relational connections.
Family Resource Night programs support academic success, relationship-building, and access to community resources for immigrant students and their parents. Immigrant families participate together in this program and have the opportunity to engage in various learning opportunities.
A full program guide and program resources are included in the Immigrant connection Family Resource Night program kit.
The Know Your Rights; Prepare Your Family toolkit equips churches to present workshops that help immigrants learn about their rights as well as how to protect themselves and their families in case of detention or deportation. Each downloadable toolkit includes: train the trainer resources, role play scenarios, presentation slides with presenter notes, family plan guides, and printable worksheets.
