Katy Strader serves as the Legal Oversight Coordinator for Immigrant Connection. She provides frontline coordination and operational support for Immigrant Connection’s technical legal support systems, ensuring DOJ Accredited Representatives receive timely, accurate, and well-routed assistance.

Katy is a graduate of Indiana University McKinney School of Law and also currently works as a Law Clerk with Exodus Refugee Immigration, Inc. She has previous experience as a paralegal and clerk at legal aid organizations and a private firm serving the immigrant community. She has worked primarily in Humanitarian Relief, including Asylum, VAWA, U, T, TPS, and SIJS cases. She particularly enjoys legal research and writing, preparing respondent briefs, and assisting clients with cases that require extensive affidavits.

Outside of work, Katy enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, volunteering as a board member for the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation, exploring the outdoors, traveling, and thrifting.
